We're still not sure what this little fishy's real name will be yet. Cinderella, Dorothy, Flounder and Little YaYa (kinda like Little Jerry Seinfeld) are what she's been called so far. She is Heidi's birthday present from us. This morning she opened her very own Little Mermaid fish tank-complete with a picture of a cute little goldfish swimming around on the box. After daddy filled the tank, water began leaking everywhere...it was cracked. Great! So sad...she did not want a new one. So Kyla, Daddy, and Pearson (who they picked up on the way) went to the "fish tank repair place" and the tank came back like brand new. Next, we headed to see Toy Story 3....whew....didn't think we were gonna make it through that one. Kyla was screaming out loud. Why do they have to make a mean menacing toy and the threat of everyone being chopped up and burned in an incinerator? I don't know. Next stop, get two goldfish. Well, that didn't quite go as planned either. Apparently the only thing that will survive in this 1.5 gallon filtered tank is one single solitary ugly Beta fish. I do not like Beta fish. What could we do? We went with it. So she's here. Swimming around...Ariel and Sebastian...and Kyla and Heidi keeping her company.

THAT is an eventful birthday. Beta fish aren't too bad. At least they're pretty- and they don't mind being alone. I hope it doesn't beat up on Sebastian or Ariel.
FYI: the petstore lied! My brother has a goldfish from our church's mother's day dinner LAST year, still living happily in it's small 3/4 gallon tank. Ours lasted about 4 months in our glass bowl till we had the heat wave of the century and it got baked. oops! I guess you can hope the beta will die and you can replace her. j/k ;) Sounds like a fun day! I was laughing outloud about Kyla sreaming out loud. Funny!
