Happy Birthday

Lately Heidi has been walking around singing Happy Birthday to herself.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR HEIDI"

Anyways, tomorrow is my birthday 28 and Kyla's half birthday 3 1/2 (I love that by the way) and Heidi's 2nd birthday is less than a month away. We've been talking about all the birthdays some and so birthdays have been on her brain. I attempted to get her to sing Happy Birthday and tell the camera about her birthday but as you will see that didn't quite work out. It never does when you try to capture it on camera. I probably should have asked her when she wasn't so busy. I decided to post the video anyways because I still think she is so cute even if it nothing super cute happens.

My favorite part is when Kyla pulls on the buckle of Heidi's seat and I ask Heidi what they are doing. If you listen closely she very calmly says "Fight!"

Pause the music on the playlist so you can hear.

A side note: I hope Kris Allen wins American Idol tonight.

37 Degrees

Lately Heidi has been asking to be dressed in the morning, "jammies off! clothes mom." I wish you could hear her little raspy voice saying this to me. Tuesday was an exception (she didn't ask until 10am) but usually this is one of the first things she says in the morning. Today she got up at 6:30 (ugh) and by 6:45 she was asking for clothes and not just any clothes but "flower dress mom." She is referring to her Easter dress which she loved. We settled on this outfit. After I took these pictures I turned the news on to hear them reporting the current temperature at 37 degrees. Brr Heidi. She however did not care. She danced and twirled and loved the "flower dress" she was wearing. We are really hoping for some nice weather soon so we can wear lots of flower dresses. I did manage to get her into a long sleeve shirt under this a little later.

Does anyone else think this looks like Casey?

A total Bell moment.

I LOVE the pony...which lasted about 15 minutes!

Lovin the outfit!

clip clop clip clop...

That is the sound I hear pretty much at all times when we are home. It's the sound of little plastic princess high heels clip clopping across the hardwood floors. Kyla got twelve pairs for her 2nd birthday (thanks Kristin!). They have dwindled down to about 5 mismatched pairs and even those ones are pretty sad looking. Kyla has worn them everyday for almost a year and half now. Heidi has been wearing them for months with incredible skill. She can run in them. Lately, she can not be without a pair. Putting on normal shoes to go out is the end of the world to her and the moment we get back home she rips off her shoes and socks and searches for the "shoes". All the little plastic stoppers on the heels have fallen out of place making the clip clopping a bit more like clip clip clop clip clop clop. Some days I want to throw them out the window. But they love them.

me then & them now

I saw something similar to this on someone else's blog. I thought it would be kind of interesting to find photos of me at the same (or close to the same) age as my girls are now. The two pictures of Kyla and I are both at age 3 1/2. The first picture of Heidi and I we are both around 15 months (I think) and the 2nd one is about 19 months. My mom says Heidi looks how I did as a baby. I can kind of see it from these pictures.

So blonde!
