Sunday we decided to go for a little day trip to Ocean Shores (about 2 1/2 hours from home). It was a ninety degree day in Seattle but we managed to find the only place in Washington that was 52 degrees. It was COLD, but we still managed to have a fun time. We did a one day only trip almost exactly two years ago. (Of course I had Heidi wear the same thing that Kyla was wearing on that trip on purpose).
This picture is not altered in anyway. This is what it was like when we got there. You couldn't even see the ocean. That's Heidi and Casey on Enzo's quad. They had a pretty fun time despite the frigid sea air for about twenty minutes until the cops busted them and the quad had to go back in the truck.
The wind made for some good kite flying.
And of course Kyla had a great time just being Kyla...
The sand was also a big hit and buckets and shovels kept us busy for most of the time.

Heidi kept asking "when summer was gonna come to the beach?" and if it was time for swimsuits.
I told her to go down and feel the water and see what she thought.
She did and then said it was warm enough (it was about 55 at this point).
She got her suit on and ventured down to the surf- splashed for a minute and was done.
After that it was pretty much time to go.
We had a fun day at the beach! It was worth the drive and the effort.

what perfect pictures! I love the ones of Kyla dancing around and Heidi and Coleson would be the best of friends...them and their happy to be in the frigid weather with their suits on :)
ha oops. I am at my mom's...that is why it says grammy--but this is Kristal :P
I love their mermaid tails, especially that picture of Kyla. The actions added a lot to these pictures!

Days at the beach are my favorite, no matter what the weather!! Great photos. It looks like a fun day. 2 more weeks until our beach trip. HOORAY!
