18 month molly

Today is Molly’s 1/2 birthday! She’s 18 months old, a toddler. Can you believe it?

She can’t…

Here is a little bit about Molly right now at this moment in time, 18 months old:

♥ You are feisty. You want what you want and you WANT IT NOW! Not being able to fully communicate this can be quite a loud interaction sometimes. You are a screamer!

♥ The above fact is especially true of any iPhone or iPad. You go CRAZY! You can not share it and you have to have it. Daddy has trained you well and so you won’t touch his or demand his at all. I, on the other hand am tired sometimes and I just let you play with it so I don’t have to listen to you go on and on (scream) about it. Your dad gives me strick warnings about how I shouldn’t do this.

♥ You are FULLY capable of swiping an iPad or iPhone on to unlock the screen, finding the app you want (which is located in a folder labeled “kid things” and running the app with no help from anyone. This makes you very happy.



♥ You look absolutely adorable in piggy ponies. You don’t really like to wear a clip or a headband but piggy ponies you don’t mind.



♥ We call you the “pantry rat.” I know it doesn’t sound very nice but that’s what Gramma Carolyn called you and it stuck. This is because you go to the cabinet and get a plastic bowl, then you walk to the pantry and bang the bowl on the door over and over until we come and let you have a snack.

♥ You LOVE snacks. You want to eat them constantly. You say “cracker” a lot. We can not even mention the word popsicle in front of you or you go crazy and stand at the freezer screaming.


♥ You do really well eating meals and most things we give you for breakfast, lunch and dinner but you WILL NOT eat whole fruit of any kind. NOTHING. You will eat applesauce or those squeeze pouches (which are so expensive) but that’s it.

♥ You are a snuggler. We LOVE to snuggle you and its kind of surprising how much you love to snuggle considering how on the go you are but we’ll take it! You still love your J.J. and your binky.

♥ You can say mama, dada, papa, heidi, yaya, (not really Kyla or Gramma but you call them something), woof woof, roar, moo (sometimes), cracker, side (outside), ni ni. You don’t say nearly as much as your sisters did at this age but you understand EVERYTHING we say.

♥ You always wave bye bye to me when I lay you down for a nap or bed.

♥ You love to kiss people. You will always give a kiss.

♥ You love bike riding and helmets.

♥ Your dance moves and singing are simply the cutest thing we have ever seen. We can’t get enough.

♥ You love purses, sunglasses, Mickey Mouse, make up, jewelry, baby dolls, dogs, shoes, buckles, electronics, standing on tables, swimming, playing outside, the Barbie Jeep, toothbrushes that are not your own, and lots of other things.

♥ You do not like going shopping or being strapped into anything including your car seat or a stroller or a shopping cart.

♥ You do not like to share mama. When I’m holding one of the other girls you come over and try to get them away from me.

♥ You are going to be a flower girl in three days. We’ll see how that goes. Ha!

♥ You are our spunky loveable McGee. Your personality is as big as your sweet little heart.
