heidi lost a tooth…

2.7 (3)

This girl has been WAITING for a tooth to fall out. We figured out its pretty close to around the same age Kyla lost her first tooth (but she was in Kindergarten then). When you’re now in the first grade and you are the ONLY one in the whole class who hasn’t lost one…it’s a big deal. It’s been wiggly for a while but yesterday it came out…at school. Losing a tooth at school is what you want to happen apparently. Kyla has lost nine so far and not one at school. At school you get a tooth necklace from the nurse to keep your tooth in. At school, its very very cool.

Heidi was so excited and so cute.

She spent quite a while on a letter to the tooth fairy and packaging up her tooth in a paper towel. And then it happened…she lost the tooth (like really lost it- as in it can’t be found). Dad and I searched the floor for about a half a hour. No luck. She was devastated. We finally convinced her that the tooth fairy would still come and that if she didn’t we would give her $50. She left the fairy a little pretend diamond instead of her tooth and in the morning she woke up with four sparkly quarters.

P.S. Molly cried before bed because she DID NOT want the tooth fairy to come. “I scared.” So Heidi added that to her note.. so the TF would know not to go in Molly’s room.
