Usually a day off from school because of snow is exciting… but this snow day started off in tears. It was the last day of school before winter break, pajama day and party day. Heidi was so looking forward to all the festivities of the day. There had been talk of snow the day before. When she got up in the night to go to the bathroom she checked outside and was relieved to see no snow at 4am. But by seven there was snow and a two hour delay and by eight school was canceled all together. She was so disappointed and upset. Until we went outside.
We love our neighbors and our neighborhood. It was a full on snow party in our cul-de-sac. Pearson came up to join the fun and we all went to the park for a little bit of sledding in the 2 inches of snow that we had. It was a blast and the missed parties were soon forgotten.
